I'm
Emily
Welsh.
I'm the evening anchor at WSEE-TV, the CBS affiliate in Erie, Pa.
From the stories that affect my neighbors to those that send waves across oceans, I work meticulously to present viewers with well- researched facts while bringing emotional, humanizing components to reports.
I have reported from London, Berlin, Rome, and Guatemala, fueling and solidifying my passion for international journalism in our ever-shrinking world.
I currently produce and anchor the 6 and 11 p.m. newscast on WSEE, and the 10 p.m. Newscast on Northwest Pa's CW. I do a significant amount of news writing and editing for each of my shows, along with all other production responsibilities.
I enjoy being an active part of the news team, pitching story ideas and helping to organize breaking news coverage.
My position has also included shooting and editing my own packages, and I have done so remotely from abroad.
With so much of our lives online now, I try to maintain a strong social media presence through my own professional Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as updating the station's accounts and website.
